These surprising splits just keep coming from left and right, and the fact that the news is about some of our favorite couples is pretty sad. According to E! News and People, Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have decided to go their separate ways after three years. The couple always looked head-over-heels in love. And there was talk of a possible engagement on the way since 2012 when he told E! News that she was “definitely” the one. And the talk definitely heated up after Derulo released a song called “Marry Me” for Sparks, and she starred in the video with him. And don’t even get me started on how romantic it was when he filled her hotel room with 10,000 orange roses for Valentine’s Day. Earlier this year, Sparks told Life & Style that Derulo was the one, and that while she wasn’t rushing him, she had a feeling that he would propose sooner than later: “We have forever. I’m already there — I know he’s the one. He might be already planning, I never know. He surprised me with those roses, so I don’t know what’s up his sleeve. We’ll see!” No comment from either Derulo or Sparks as of yet, but Sparks was a guest host on E! News yesterday, and E! News is the outlet that broke the news today. Also, Derulo has reportedly been seen less and less with Sparks, and on September 15, Sparks tweeted, “I just wrote the saddest song of my life.” As for the split, sources told E! News that it was a mutual breakup and that they hope to remain in one another’s lives–on a friendly basis. But we’re hoping they will work things out, because they were such a cute couple !!
