Last month, K. Michelle Lil’ Kim had it out on Twitter after Kim felt slighted by K supporting Nicki Minaj for her VMA performance (You can check out a full transcript of their showdown here). During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, K explained that she never intended to offend the Brooklyn rapper with her comments. But y’all know K has never been one to back down, so they’re still at odds.
“I’m not stunting that lady,” K said of Kim. “I was in the studio and I’m looking at Nicki like, ‘It’s a Black girl at the VMAs. She up there and three and four times. She’s always been nice to me.’ I like Nicki Minaj. Shoot me. I tweeted and said: ‘Yes, Nicki! The Queen Of Rap.’ I wasn’t offending anybody. I ain’t got nothing to do with [their beef].”
She went on to say that Kim definitely could’ve addressed her privately if she felt slighted by her tweet.
“Kim has my number. You’ve even talked about me being the god mother to your daughter. You have my number. You know how to talk to me.”
But Kim wasn’t the only one K had to face because of her support of Nicki. Kim’s fans actually went after her first.
“Her fans immediately began attacking me, talking about my child and everything. So me being me and being in my zone, I was real belligerent. I went and tweeted, ‘F*ck all you Lil’ Kim fans goddamnit. You motherf*ck*rs aren’t going to tell me what to say.’ I like both of them. That’s what I said in the tweet. I didn’t say, ‘F*ck all you Lil’ Kim fans and f*ck Kim. I said, ‘F*ck all you Lil’ Kim fans coming at me’cuz I’m gonna like both of them. Y’all ain’t gonna bully me off no Twitter.”
And then, Kim felt the need to defend her loyal followers against K, which resulted in their feud.
“B*tch, trying to get a VMA moment. Neither one of us was there, motherf*ck*er. God damn. At least I’m in the studio working. It’s my first album, you could’ve at least been a guest. You been in the game [...] I’m not bothering no body. They come for me ‘cuz they know I’m going to say something”
“I look up to you. You know how much I respect you, Kim, as a legend. Why would you go talk to me on Twitter to keep them lil’ three fans you got? You could’ve been a woman and texted me. I don’t get that. I have been so supportive of her. But you tell your fans to attack me.”
K adds that Kim ignored her attempt to reach out to her privately, but says that she won’t be swayed by Kim’s “petty b*tch” antics.
“Yes, I still like Nicki and I’m still gon’ shake my a** to her music. But how you did me that was very petty. You got a new baby, shouldn’t your breast be in that baby mouth? You should be doing some sh*t like breastfeeding instead of bothering me. I’m out here trying to get to where you was !!
