Jessie J is threatening to turn in to a swivel chair diva like Simon Cowell after moaning about her hot seat on The Voice.
The TV judge suggested the giant pivoting thrones on the BBC singing contest are boarding on sexist as she can’t chill out properly in it like male judges will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue.
‘Honestly, as a girl, it’s not the most comfortable chair,’ she whined to the Radio Times.
‘While all the guys can sit back and look relaxed, I either have to sit really upright and forward, or lean to the side.’
‘I feel so little in that chair, but at least my feet touch the ground… Will’s don’t!’
Her gripe is reminiscent of the chair wars on rival ITV show The X Factor, where it was revealed Simon Cowell sits on a secret cushion to boost his height.
Cowell’s also had to deal with endless squabbles over which of his TV beauties sits closest to him in the past.
Meanwhile, the Price Tag singer is hoping to boost flagging ratings on the Beeb show as she reckons she is much more famous this time around.
‘I actually feel a lot more at ease with the role and the show and more confident knowing that I have experience as a coach,’ the 24-year-old said.
‘Last year I held back because I was aware that the public didn’t really know who I was. I’m less bothered this year by what people think.’
Jessie also confessed she’s worried her reality TV turn will leave her cool reputation in tatters.
The star confessed: ‘I worry that every decision I make is a reflection on me, and whether I see the consequences or not people will judge me for it.’ Read the full interview in the Radio Times out now.
