Nadine Bolduan, mother of Kate, will be sentenced April 11 for colliding with another car on an Indiana highway while intoxicated, but this isn’t the first time she’s faced such charges.
Nadine Bolduan, mother of CNN correspondent Kate Bouldan, could go to prison next month for driving while drunk and injuring a man.
Kate Bolduan, who at 29 is CNN's youngest host, may have a spotless record, but her mother does not.
While the rising star prepares to cozy up with former “Good Morning America” anchor Chris Cuomo over a fresh cup of coffee for a new morning show, her 60-year-old mother will need to confront her bleak past of reckless driving.

Kate Bolduan is a star reporter at CNN slated to co-host a brand new morning show.
CNN PICKS NEW MORNING SHOW ANCHORS Back in 1994, a grand jury charged her with reckless homicide after she landed a Jet Ski on top of an inner tube carrying two little girls, according to police reports.
Bolduan means business! She will team up with Chris Cuomo and Michaela Pereira for her new show.
The following year, Nadine Bolduan faced civil lawsuits and ultimately had to pay the surviving child more than $1 million in a settlement. Her settlement with the Leman family, however, was not disclosed.
Nadine Bolduan's legal woes resurfaced May 31 last year when she admittedly drank two glasses of red wine and crashed her Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck nearly head on into a Buick LeSabre.

Bolduan will be the youngest morning show anchor at the age of 29.
The driver, Paul D. Fought, was airlifted to a nearby hospital for leg fractures, head damage, a fractured elbow and a torn rotator cuff.
"The doctors were very concerned that I wouldn't make it through the first night," he told the Goshen News.
Nadine Bolduan's blood alcohol content was 0.19 percent, police said, which is more than double the state’s legal limit.
She pleaded guilty — with Fought present — to driving while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, which will limit her potential prison time to a maximum of one year.
"It was a bit overwhelming for me," Fought said, adding that the guilty plea was "all we could hope for."
