People are living well into their 100s in the United States and all over the world. All of the 26 oldest living people in the world today are women. Many of them are from the United States, Japan, and Italy. The oldest living person is currently over 115 years old.
Who is the oldest person in the world? Misao Okawa, of Japan, was born on March 5, 1898 making her 116 years old. She is the third oldest person ever in Japan and the 10th oldest person who ever lived. She was recognized by Guinness World Records on February 27, 2013. She currently resides in a nursing home in Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Osaka.

Jeralean Talley is the second oldest person in the world and the oldest in the United States. She was born on May 23, 1899 making her 114 years old. She was an avid bowler until age 104 and she still loves to go fishing. She currently resides in Inkster, Michigan. The third oldest person in the world is Susannah Mushatt Jones of the United States who was born on July 6, 1899 making her 114 years old.
